Taco Bell Solar Initiative

COMPREHENSIVE SOLAR, STORAGE, AND EV CHARGING DESIGN

Project Overview

This project involved the design and installation of solar panels, energy storage, and EV chargers at multiple Taco Bell locations. The innovative system allows for solar energy utilization during the day and battery storage at night, ensuring efficient energy use and reduced reliance on the grid. Our tailored approach ensures that each location maximizes its renewable energy potential, setting a new standard for sustainable restaurant operations.

Backup Power Design

The Surgical Microgrid project was meticulously designed to integrate solar and battery storage with the existing generator, providing a seamless transition to backup power. This system ensures uninterrupted power supply during utility safety shutoffs, a frequent issue in the area. The design prioritizes reliability and efficiency, safeguarding critical manufacturing processes.

Mercedes-Benz Dealership

Custom-engineered canopy solution

This Mercedes-Benz dealership was looking to install solar on their limited-space rooftop, and the decision was made to go with a custom-engineered canopy solution to cover the top level of the parking structure.  This allowed for a substantial increase in the amount of solar power that was able to be installed on the building, which helped achieve the desired goal of energy offset.

Rolling Hills Preparatory School

Renewable Energy to Power our Learning Institutions

This project presented unique challenges due to the stringent requirements of the Division of the State Architect. The project involved careful planning to ensure compliance with life safety standards while optimizing the system’s output. Solar System Installation

The PV system designed for this ice rink facility was installed under Lucerne’s supervision. Throughout the duration of the installation, our team was involved with material procurement, AHJ inspections, RFI processes, and guiding the construction team through to completion.

Commercial Parking Canopies

The Cactus project’s main goal was to provide shaded parking for the customer parking lot, while also helping to offset their electric utility costs.  The system was also designed with expansion for a battery energy storage system in the future.
